A picture book about a cat's adventure on the mail truck
Everywhere cat looks, he sees dogs, cars, and his favorite: the mail truck! When he gets an opportunity to bolt out the door and into the truck, he takes it. But he isn't expecting the truck to take him! With help from the postal worker, whose job is "taking things where they go," cat makes his way through the neighborhood and back home again.
How this book came to be
Hi! That's me, Josh Rachford (the dad, not the baby). After a close family member's health scare, I realized I wanted to leave something in the world after I was gone. And that thing was a children's book.
My sons love the mail truck and are fascinated with cats. So I wrote the rhyming text of the book to create something I thought my kids would love.
After dabbling in illustrating the book myself, I realized it would never be completed if I didn't get some help. Farwa Khan agreed to lend her charming style of illustration to the book and without her it would not exist today.
